Deep Faith 301 "Gifts of the Holy Spirit"

This week in our Deep Faith class they spoke and then we discussed the Gifts of the Holy Spirit and the Power it is to our life. .. The Holy Spirit is our guide he is the one that speaks to us .. to our spirit and to our soul. .. He(Holy Spirit) is the Helper Jesus said He would send after His death and resurrection. Jesus already knew that He would return to the Father so He promise to send them and that is us today the helper (Holy Spirit) ..

Jesus Promises Another Helper

15 “If you love Me, keep My commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—
17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

The Holy Spirit is the one who also gives us the Power, the strength when we find our self weak or overwhelm with life. .. He is the One through whom we are able to pray for the sick and they are healed .. He is the One and only Spirit of the most High God by whom some are given to prophesies and the same Spirit Gives to another the gift of healing and others to teach and ministry to another .. in fact no need for me to continuing quoting the word of God. .. I will let you read for yourselves the Gifts of the Holy Spirit..

Spiritual Gifts: Unity in Diversity

1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant:
2 You know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led.
3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.
4 There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
8 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit,
9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit,
10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.
11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
1 Corinthians 12:1-11

Everyone should seek and ask God daily to fill them and I speak to myself with His Holy Spirit. God gives everyone who seeks more of His Holy Spirit .. it is Power and the One who keeps us on the righteous path.. the narrow path .. the path to Life in Jesus Christ .. the Spirit of God is the Help to a stronger Christian life. .. every Christian has a Gift from God .. some just never seek God for that Gift .. they are content just going to church .. never ask God for that power from the Holy Spirit and what they can do for the Kingdom of God .. God gives freely to him who ask .. God is always willing to give us more, more power to help those in need .. and this we do with the wisdom and knowledge that comes from the power of the Holy Spirit .. there are those of you who think that they are going to go crazy .. this I say because some folks think that they are going to speak in tongues and language which is a Gift of its own and praise God if you do .. for many do not .. but still are fill with the power of the Holy Spirit .. and if God chose to Gift you with the speaking of tongues and you do not understand even what you are saying .. know that it is your Spirit that speaks to God and that is for the edification of you spirit and your soul .. these are what I will call private talks with God and your soul .. definitely nothing to fear and mostly nothing to ever be ashamed of ..

Serve God with Spiritual Gifts

3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,
5 so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.
6 Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith;
7 or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching;
8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
Romans 12:3-8

Tonight I will finish by saying that the most wonderful Gift that we receive from the Holy Spirit is the fruits of the spirit and in the book of Galatians Paul goes on to tell us what those fruits are .. I have said to myself and to other that without love we have nothing ..
1 Corinthians 13 says we profit nothing .. without love as our core we could never be like Jesus .. we could not even say that we serve God .. you could be as good as can be .. honest as they come .. smart, rich and successful but if you have not love .. all the other fruits would be useless .. then again if you have not love .. there is no way you could have any peace or be able to enjoy life.. and last but not lest the Holy Spirit would and does not dwell in you..


22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22,23

Continuous Love

Like flowing rivers of living waters
we find a love that has endured time
Patient, 4 only He knows our mind
Understanding even with all our faults
Compassionate when we stumble
Hopeful that only Him we follow
Uplifting when we trip N have fallen
Strength when we are weak N tired
Faithful when we in Him lean our trust
Grateful when 2 Him we give thanks
Comforter when we hurt or suffer
Gentle when our wounds He heals
Gracious 2 as many, washed by His blood
Forgiving He is, of our sins N set backs
Merciful when His laws we undermine
Peaceful in our times of tribulation
Warrior 4 the spirit that battles flesh
Teacher of His knowledge N wisdom
Provider of all our needs N desires
Friend like none other on this earth
Father, Son N Spirit R Continuous Love
